Activity of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Moldova in 2020
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2020, the number of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) was 57,2 thousand enterprises and represents about 98,6% of the total number of reporting enterprises.
The average number of employees in SMEs in the reference period constituted 316,8 thousand persons, which is 60,1% of the total number of employees of enterprises. The turnover in SMEs in 2020 summed up 150 112,1 million lei or 39,3% of total turnover in economy.
